Client Worksheet

Help me to get to know you better!

The form below will help me measure the initial scope of your project and provide you with an accurate proposal. My clients have found that it focuses their own thinking about what they really want and need!

The Basics

The Brand

(e.g.: warmth, friendliness, reassurance, comfort, or excitement. Sample brand attributes might include caring, honesty, humor, professionalism, intelligence, technological savvy, sophistication, reliability, and trustworthiness.)

Audience

(e.g. Young people looking to buy music)

For example: make a purchase, register as a member, search for information, complete a contact form?

Scope and Features

(e.g. updatable news, multiple authors, comments, search , archive, forum etc.)

Design

(e.g.: Easy to look at, edgy, classic, up-to-date, crisp, modern etc.)

(I develop websites with Web standards based techniques to ensure the widest possible reach.)

(I ordinarily design to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines priority 2 checkpoints and include the latest best practice wherever possible. If you are aware of specific disabilities within your target audience, please let me know.)

Additional comments

Finally

Go and grab a cup of tea, read through it again to make sure you really have covered everything, then:

Thank you for your help. I will come back to you to confirm I have received the document. Please allow 48 hours!

Tip!

The more complete the information you provide, the more accurate the proposal. Tell us about your unique circumstances or special requirements, such as internal hosting, third-party tools, branding guidelines, approval processes or the extent of your content.

Tip!

The best way to stay on schedule is to have all elements needed for production ready when we start. Valuable hours can be spent over the course of production tracking down missing pieces or getting new elements approved. It’s also important to make sure special needs haven’t changed since the project began. If they have, identifying these prior to starting production can save a lot of overages.

Remember

In the event that you request the addition of new features or revise the scope of this project after work has begun, I will provide a revision to the budget range in writing for the change. Upon your approval, the new features will be scheduled.

Note

Every site I build is handcrafted.
I don’t use off-the-shelf products because they
can’t achieve the same
level of professionalism and effectiveness. By using Cascading Style Sheets
(CSS), I provide my clients
with more flexible,
standards- compliant web solutions.

Remember

Designs must be
approved and all content, including pictures and videos, must be approved and delivered before moving on to the Production Phase.
